Thomann service, as usual, is fast, professional and kind they are official Universal Audio dealers, and that's an added value in case of eventual future need of support. I just had to remove the Duo, plug the Octo, power my computer, and re-authorize the system: in 5 minutes I was ready to work again, with 4x the DSP power I had before. Quality of this card is like are used to for every other Universal Audio product: well built, very straightforward to be installed and configured, it simply works.

While older Universal Audio plugins can still be ran in many instances even on a Duo system, latest ones are very DSP hungry, so the Octo is the best choice when you want to run large mixing session with a lot of heavy plugins such as latest channel-strips and/or tape emulations.

I've bought this Octo card to replace my old Duo, in order to benefit from its much increased DSP power.

I'm a satisfied UAD2 user since almost 10 years, so I'm not new to the system.
